Riders will follow a series of clues that uncover the town’s railroad roots, historic downtown district, and stories of the people who shaped Mitchell, from early pioneers to local legends. Each stop reveals a piece of history, highlighting the role of the railroads, classic architecture, and the evolution of this once-booming rail hub while you explore the town in a fun, fast, and modern way on an e-bike.

Your adventure will take you past historic buildings and landmarks in and around downtown Mitchell. At every location, teams will solve short puzzles, riddles, and physical challenges, allowing you to hear the “echoes” of Mitchell's past.

E-bike rentals, helmets, and a quick safety briefing are included before you begin. Routes are planned to use town streets and appropriate paths, keeping you close to the historic heart of Mitchell, so riders can enjoy both the ride and the rich history around them. Whether you grew up here or are visiting for the first time, this treasure hunt is a unique way to connect with Mitchell’s history while enjoying a relaxed, electric-powered ride with friends and family.

Days of the event: Fridays 5pm-9pm. Saturdays 4pm-8pm. For groups of 4 or more, other dates may be available.

You have 4 hours to find the treasure. The final clue is very difficult. If you find the treasure and solve all clues correctly within the allotted 3-hour time limit, you win the grand prize of $500. The grand prize grows with every group that attempts the treasure hunt.
